How we are doing

Quince AI wants this site to be usable by everyone, and we treat accessibility as an engineering requirement rather than a disclaimer. This statement describes how www.quince-ai.com measures up against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 level AA, the standard referenced by EN 301 549 and the Swedish Act on Accessibility to Digital Public Service (DOS-lagen).

Conformance status

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means most of the standard is met, and the parts that are not are listed below rather than left for you to discover.

We assessed the site ourselves, by review of the source and by measuring rendered pages in a browser at desktop and mobile widths, in both the light and dark theme. It has not been audited by an independent third party.

What we know is not yet accessible

  • Some pages skip a heading level. A few pages move from a level 1 heading straight to level 3, which makes the outline less useful when navigating by headings. We are working through these.
  • Some images lack intrinsic dimensions. Ten screenshots on the Services page do not declare their width and height, so the layout can shift while they load.
  • Long-form articles are English only. Case notes and insights are published in English even on the Swedish site, where they are labelled "på engelska". The core pages have full Swedish parity.
  • Typefaces are served by a third party. Fonts load from Google Fonts, so a blocked or slow connection to that service changes how the site renders. We intend to self-host them.

What we have fixed recently

Recorded here so you can judge the direction, not only the state:

  • Interactive targets in the navigation and footer were smaller than 24 by 24 pixels; they now meet that minimum.
  • Muted body text sat at 4.4:1 against card surfaces, just under the 4.5:1 requirement. It now measures 4.97:1 at worst.
  • A numeral on the Sovereignty Ladder chart was white on a light accent fill at 1.81:1. It now uses dark ink at 11.14:1.
  • Section headings that used a line break produced run-together words in screen readers ("Start small.Own everything."). The words are now separated.
  • The site required JavaScript to display any content at all. It now renders without it.
  • The contact form had no validation and no distinguishable success or error state. Errors are now named per field, announced, and never confused with success.
