Under section 26 of the Swedish Auditors Act, an auditor may not disclose without authority what they learn in their work, and must make sure assistants follow the same rule. Accounting consultants are bound by the confidentiality in the Reko standard and in their association's ethical rules. An AI tool is an assistant in that sense: the firm must be able to show where the material goes.

What firms ask before they buy.
Are we bound by confidentiality?
Auditors are, under section 26 of the Auditors Act. Authorised accounting consultants follow the confidentiality in Reko and in their association's ethical rules. For other firms, the contract with the client governs.
Can Egen do our bookkeeping?
No. Egen reads and writes files, answers questions and makes reports. Bookkeeping happens in your business system.
Does Egen connect to Fortnox or Visma?
Not today. Egen connects to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Atlassian, GitHub and Slack. Exports from the business system work as files.
What does it cost?
From SEK 5,900 a month for up to eight named users, excluding VAT, with no onboarding fee unless you want your own single sign-on. For a firm with a duty of confidentiality we suggest Egen Private, from SEK 29,900 a month, with a private environment, reserved compute and role-based access. Private usually starts with a 30-day pilot for SEK 9,900.
